When it comes to responding in the fire and EMS service, first responders often work together with their neighboring departments to do their jobs. Why not bring that same teamwork mentality to your records management duties as well? Countywide fire software helps save personnel time spent on redundant paperwork when providing mutual aid by taking advantage of shared incident reporting through “Agency Friends,” an exclusive feature only available from ER, that makes giving and receiving mutual aid a lot easier.
How “Agency Friends” Works:
The Agency Friends feature allows Emergency Reporting users in the same state to share and receive information and resources between departments. Everything in Agency Friends is “Read Only” so “Friended” agencies cannot make any changes to your department’s ER account, making sure that your department’s individual data is safe and secure within your ER network.
Once Agency Friends is activated, you will be able to look at data and pull reports within the Reports Module that include incident information from your “agency friends.” By including information from other neighboring agencies, you can look beyond your own district to get a more comprehensive snapshot of your greater community. With this feature you are also able to view information and track performance of your mutual aid incidents. Pulling reports like #1174: Incident Count for FIRE Calls For inter-Agency For Date range and report #1175: Average Response Time For Inter-Agency Per Response Mode For Date Range will give your department a better understanding of inter-agency performance. In addition to mutual and automatic aid activity, you will also be able to pull occupancy information and hydrant data from neighboring agencies. This provides your crews with valuable information and resources they can use when responding to calls outside of your own district. This shared data can be used to justify and secure additional manning, machines and money that can improve overall service levels to the community.
Why use Countywide Fire Software?
When utilizing the Emergency Reporting platform across your entire county, data-driven decisions become simpler with shareable inspection reports, hydrant, occupancy, and apparatus data. ER’s countywide fire software is fully customizable so each agency within the county can choose the package that works best for them. Agencies can also utilize FirstPCR, the electronic one sheet made specifically for first responders that documents patient information related to EMS calls right into your ER account.
The Countywide Solution offers all the benefits of ER including industry-standard compliance with NFPA 1500, NFPA 1710/1720, and NFPA 1300. Improve your average ISO scores as a county and enhance your Community Risk Reduction programs.
Take your reporting to the next level by integrating your ER account with your CAD provider. Not only will you reduce data entry, but you can also split the cost with the other departments in your county to save money.
