After a year away from conferences and events, it was nice to be back in action. We were so excited to participate in the 99th Annual Oklahoma Fire Chiefs Association Conference in Midwest City, Oklahoma. ER was proud and honored to sponsor and support this organization. Even though attendance was down from years past, it was business as usual for attendees (save for the personal safety and social distancing measures in place).
Having an opportunity to get out of the virtual world for a while and see smiling faces in person, was a welcome change from the virtual formats we have all become accustomed to over the last several months. Even more, it was nice for everyone to get out and have the meaningful sessions and discussions which makes conferences like these so beneficial.
Rover Alerting Helps Supports Mutual Aid Partners
In speaking with attendees we uncovered an emergent need, ideal for our Rover App. Support personnel need to have on-scene details before arriving to assist. Because support personnel isn’t always included in the initial dispatch of the call, they can be in the dark on key incident details. ER’s Rover App is ideal for this! Not only does it provide a means to see incident, scene and local information, but it also gives this real-time incident information all without having to be tied to a radio! As an added bonus, Rover also acts as the mobile data terminal (MDT). Support teams can enter responses for which they are assigned, negating the need to carry an MDT in their vehicles.
This one was well worth our while. There were great sessions, really strong keynotes, and a great showing of vendors. This conference was a great way to get to business after a long off-season. We can’t wait for our next event! Stay tuned to our social channels and website for updates on where you can find us.
We’ll see you out there!
