VISION Risk Assessment™ is a dynamic tool that allows departments to analyze and categorize risks present in their community, compare data to other departments nationwide, and generate the Occupancy Vulnerability Assessment Profile (OVAP) score for all occupancies within their response area. If you’ve ever been rated by the ISO and there was room for improvement, this is the tool you have been looking for to simplify the process of rating every building in your community.
VISION Risk Assessment™ allows you to do the following to analyze and understand the risks in your coverage area:
- Calculate response time and plan resource deployment
- Record the location and potential impact of hazardous materials
- Determine the required fire flow needed to stop a fire at origin
- Evaluate potential medical emergencies involving mass casualties
- View color-coded hydrants by GPM volume per NFPA 291
As a leader in Records Management Software (RMS) for fire departments and an advocate for first responders, Emergency Reporting offers a wide range of products to help support the development of a Community Risk Reduction (CRR) plan and CPSE accreditation. One tool that can help guide your CRR program is our VISION Risk Assessment™ add-on, which generates an Occupancy Vulnerability Assessment Profile (OVAP) score for all occupancies in your area and allows you to analyze data to develop a risk assessment for your area. After the OVAP score has been established, each occupancy is color-coded based on risk and included within the Google Maps integration as helpful visual reference. VISION Risk Assessment™ helps to identify emerging trends, deploy assets to mitigate risks, and evaluate the effectiveness of your CRR program.
No software installation is necessary to support the VISION Risk Assessment™ product. It integrates with existing data, allowing you to compare your data to other agencies. VISION Risk Assessment™ is available as an add-on to the Emergency Reporting system, or as a stand-alone product.
Learn How King County International Airport – Boeing Field ARFF Unit Uses Emergency Reporting with VISION Risk Assessment™ to Stream Operations
From Cumbersome, Installed Software to User-Friendly, Web-Based RMS Software
Before using the Emergency Reporting (ER) Records Management System (RMS), the King County International Airport – Boeing Field ARFF Unit used FirePrograms for their records management and reporting. They soon found that the system did not meet their needs.
“When we purchased FirePrograms, we were promised certain things that the software could and should do – including the ability to pull up reports on numerous items,” said William Butterfield, Deputy/FF/EMS T.O. at King County International Airport – Boeing Field ARFF Unit. “And the program was not web-based, therefore it required IT support to maintain the server.”
After a couple of years using FirePrograms, they decided to make the switch to ER’s RMS in 2013. Deputy Butterfield said the main reason for choosing ER was because of how user-friendly it is, and because ER met their needs all in one program as opposed to having to use multiple programs to achieve the same results. As a government agency and airport fire department, King County International Airport – Boeing Field ARFF Unit’s unique needs and requirements have been fulfilled with ER’s Fire Package, along with the VISION Risk Assessment™ add-on product offered by ER.
